The partners would like to extend the warmest welcome to the latest addition to the team in Welshpool: Sarah Bufton. Sarah joins us on a training contract being one of the first group of budding young lawyers to graduate from the Legal Practice Course in Aberystwyth.

The practice has been awarded level two of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard, and as a result publish our Environmental Policy on our website stating our commitment to the environment. The standard is enforced by annual audit and shows the commitment of the partners to doing business in a way that minimises our impact upon the environment. Continuing to lead the way, Harrisons are the first solicitors practice to achieve the standard.

It is with the greatest of pleasure that the partners announce the appointment of Paul Ingram as a member, (partner), of the practice. Duncan Reid said of the appointment:
" I am very pleased to welcome Paul Ingram to the partnership. He is a sound lawyer with all round ability and his decision to specialise and take his LLM Degree in commercial law will add great strength to our business client services. His managerial role will be to work with Annie Smith on the marketing of the practice."

Sophia Nazar recieves official notice of acceptance onto the register of Solicitors with the Law Society. Sophia trained with the firm in 2006 and 2007 and the partners are delighted to welcome her aboard. Sophia will be specialising in domestic conveyancing.

Charlotte Powell joins Harrisons as a trainee after studying at the College of Law in Chester where she left with a commendation. She graduated from University College London and is currently working in our litigation department dealing with a range of civil matters.
She is a fluent Welsh speaker having been born and brought up in Dolgellau in North West Wales. Her roots remain in the area and she works closely with the Merioneth Agricultural Society to arrange the annual Merioneth County Show.

Lowri Rees joins Harrisons from a nationwide practice in Cardiff where she specialised in Environmental and Planning Law. Lowri adds a whole new dimension to Harrisons' service offerings in the fields of Commercial Property with her specialisations and the partners are delighted that such a capable and experienced solicitor would choose to join the practice. Lowri was born and raised just outside Machynlleth and is a fluent Welsh speaker.

Harrisons appoint a new practice manager: Andrew Johnson. From a background in high technology services and most recently having served as a management consultant to numerous global companies, Andrew is relishing the challenge of managing the practice and further consolidating Harrisons' position as the most modern, efficient and effective practice in the area.
