SOLICTOR ADVOCATE (Higher Courts - Criminal Proceedings).

With the Higher Rights of Audience accreditation, Huw can now accept instructions from clients who are charged at the police station straight through to trial and/or sentence in the crown court. This ensures continuity of service and avoids having to instruct a barrister who will know nothing of the case or client, see testimony below. Harrisons is therefore able to offer a much more comprehensive criminal defence service to both existing and new clients than the local competition.

Legal Aid may also be available subject to assessment. Huw is very experienced in court dealings, having worked for the Crown Prosecution Service as well as defending in Crown Court and is a member of the Court Duty Solicitor panel.

Our Criminal Department also has a Legal Aid Franchise which is a quality mark from the Legal Aid Board which ensures the standard of the service provided is excellent.
